Handmade Gypsy Camper on Vintage Ford Truck

Here is a mid 60’s style fourth generation Ford F-Series vintage pickup truck. Mounted to the fleet side bed is a home built gypsy style truck camper. It features slanted side walls with an exterior is stain wood that looks really great.  But what make this one stand out it the curved corrugated steel metal roof. For added flavor check out the front window with its trapezoid shape. That is a nice touch.  The lighter wood trim also adds some additional style.  The Camper Special was built heavier for the slide in campers that were becoming increasingly popular during this time. Ford still offered a “Low GVWR” version of each model.
