The Bi-Level Pickup Campers: Good Thing The Front Sleeper Is Tied Down

pickup campers shells tent

I didn’t shoot this, but it sure seem to me that this camper rig was on the move when this shot was taken. What really tends to confirm that theory is that the front sleeping compartment of the pop-up tent trailer seems to be lifting up quite bit, from obvious aerodynamic forces. And it appears that tendency was apparently noticed (or anticipated) by the driver, since there are hold-down straps/cables from the front of it to the truck’s front bumper. Amazing. I wonder what’s the fastest this rig has been driven like this?
