Jeep FC Camper: Trail-Rated Camper

Now here’s a rig to lust after: a heavily-reworked Jeep FC (170, I assume) camper.

  1. 265/75/16 s (which is 31.6 dia. 10.4 width), no rubbing. I’m not to keen on the new JK Wranglers. Some lifts don’t void warranties as you can have jeeps customized at the dealership with lifts, bumpers, racks, etc. Obviously if you add a 5.5 long arm lift and 37s your warranty will be hosed but a mild 1-2″ body lift or a 2-3″ suspension lift should still be legit with the warranty.

  2. I drove my 97 Jeep TJ on the Autobahn everyday for 3 years with 31″ BF Goodrich TA/KO’s. Both in winter and in summer with no problems. Safety wasn’t a issue never felt safer even at Autobahn speed or as fast as Jeep could take me. Also was a 4 in. lift on that Jeep. As far as handling with all the Jeeps I’ve owned all I can say is what I can’t do in a Jeep I wouldn’t try in any other vehicle either.
